A Tradition of Celebrations at Circles Event Café, Makati Shangri-La

For the past four years, it has become a tradition for us to celebrate special family occasions at Circles Event Cafe in Makati Shangri-La. This restaurant has witnessed a number of birthdays and anniversaries, and it was also here where my wife and I had our first breakfast as a married couple. There are so many things to love about Circles such as the homey atmosphere, the friendly staff and, of course, the great selection of cuisine.

An Intimate Dinner at Holiday Inn Makati’s Flavors Restaurant

One of the hotels in Makati that we have frequently been to is Holiday Inn. It’s not as grand as the older hotels in the vicinity but it holds its own charm primarily because of its sparkling new facilities. Promos are also always available so Holiday Inn is a convenient choice for celebrations and special gatherings. As such, when we were planning a dinner party with colleagues, Flavors Restaurant, the hotel’s signature restaurant, immediately came to mind.

Going Loco over Locavore

Trust food-hunting with friends on a Friday evening to bring you to unexpected places. Thus, notwithstanding the heavy traffic in C5 and Kapitolyo, our search for decent dinner brought us to the latest talk of the town that is Locavore. I neither had any idea of what Locavore specializes in nor with what its name meant but I was told that they serve good Filipino food with a twist. I have previously been to so many restaurants claiming to put a spin on Pinoy food and they all fell short of my expectation. So for Locavore, I was not particularly expecting much.
