For the past several months now, Mommy Khris and I have been trying to make time to go on dinner dates from time to time. We’ve been visiting our old favorite cafés but we’re also making it a point to eat in new restaurants. Once such restaurant that we’ve recently tried is Texas Roadhouse in Ayala Fairview Terraces. I think Texas Roadhouse recently opened in this location when we ate there, and we were excited to try what they had to offer.

When we were seated, our server immediately gave us complimentary bread with what seemed like honey butter spread. The bread was really good; it was soft, warm, and flavorful. The butter spread went well with it.

We couldn’t decide what to order but since Father’s Day was approaching that time, we ordered the Cowboy Meat Platter (P2,195). This is a platter of ribs, roast beef belly, and sausages. It also came with three sides and sauces. We also ordered a classic Caesar Salad (medium, P495) and a glass of Cucumber Lemonade (P195).

By the way, do watch out for credit card promos with the Bistro Group. They regularly offer 50% discount for a minimum order of P3,000. I think that’s always a good deal.

Anyway, my favorites in the meat platter are the roast beef and the sausages. I like how tender and juicy the roast beef was. Meanwhile, the sausages were really flavorful and meaty. I wasn’t too fond of the ribs because they were not as tender and flavorful as I hoped them to be. I think it lacked barbecue sauce and I would like them to be more fall off the bone.

Texas Roadhouse’s menu is composed of the following:

All in all, the food is good and the service is efficient. We’ll keep coming back to Texas Roadhouse for the yummy complimentary bread and delicious meat dishes. And don’t forget the sulit credit card promos!
