Sharing my experience at the Shangri-La The Fort High Street Lounge where we had dinner a few months ago.
The lobby lounges of hotels have always been a wonderful venue for laidback
get-togethers but with a touch of luxury, of course. It’s expensive, I know,
but I always find the experience of being in lobby lounges to be wonderful.
Anyway, a few months ago, my sister-in-law treated Mommy Khris and me to
dinner at the High Street Lounge of Shangri-La at The Fort. It was our first
time eating there so we were excited.
Dinner at the Shangri-La The Fort High Street Lounge
Our first impressions
Shangri-La The Fort’s High Street Lounge is impressive, with its high ceiling
and large windows. The couches are big and comfortable and the whole area is
expansive. You can talk and not be conscious that the people at the other
table might hear you.
Curry Laksa |
The lights were soft, which again added to the superb experience. There was
also light lounge music playing which was certainly relaxing.
What we ordered at Shangri-La The Fort High Street Lounge
High Street Lounge’s menu is composed of starters, light meals, desserts,
coffee and tea, non-alcoholic refreshments, and alcoholic drinks.
Cajun Fries |
We ordered Cajun Fries, Curry Laksa, Char Kway Teow, and Gamberi E Olio. There
was complimentary bread (unlimited) as well as cake since my birthday was
upcoming.
Char Kway Teow |
The food was delicious. I loved how flavorful the Cajun fries were. I ordered
the Curry Laksa and it was rich and bursting with different flavor
combinations.
I also had a few forkfuls of the Char Kway Teow and the Gamberi E Olio and I
would say that they were also delicious; the ingredients used were of high
quality.
Gamberi E Olio |
Now, it might seem that our orders were just a handful, but they were quite
filling. In fact, we were not able to finish the Char Kway Teow and the
Gamberi E Olio, so we just brought the leftovers home.
