Purico's Cabin Resort is the perfect family staycation if you love the quiet charm of the provincial life.
Purico’s Cabin Resort perfectly embodies the definition of a quaint and
secluded weekend refuge. The clock seems to tick in slow motion, especially
because of the quiet surroundings – free from the seemingly endless noise of
the urban jungle. Just the same, Purico’s Cabin Resort is far from being
bland and boring. It has all the amenities to ensure an enjoyable weekend,
especially for a family like us with little children. Not only that,
Purico’s Cabin Resort is undeniably Instagram-worthy, so you would have a
lot of opportunities for pictorials with your loved ones while on a
holiday.
Purico’s Cabin Resort: A Fun Family Adventure in Apalit, Pampanga
What we liked in Purico’s Cabin Resort
If you are looking for a destination near Metro Manila where you can spend a
peaceful weekend, then Purico’s Cabin Resort may be the ideal choice for
you.
We discovered it on social media and I would say it was indeed a good decision
to spend the night in Purico’s during the weekend after my birthday. Purico’s
Cabin Resort is surrounded by rice fields in a small community in Apalit,
Pampanga, so you are assured of nothing but the sound of nature.
Here are some of the things that we liked in Purico’s Cabin Resort
The beautifully designed cabins
The highlight of our stay at Purico’s is, of course, the cabins. These are
beautifully made mini-houses complete with a living room, a dining area, a
spacious loft bedroom with comfortable beds, a strong air conditioning system,
and a jacuzzi.
Not only that but the whole resort is landscaped with lush bushes and
flowering plants that are pleasant to the eyes.
A nice swimming pool
There’s no question that children love being in the water. They can stay in
the water for the entire day, even forgoing food if you don’t remind them to
eat.
That being said, Miguel and Rafa both enjoyed the kiddie swimming pool at
Purico’s Cabin Resort. Adults, meanwhile, will definitely enjoy swimming in
the deeper portion of the swimming pool (the deepest is five feet).
A café & restaurant is available inside the resort
When in Purico’s Cabin Resort, you don’t have to worry about food (or getting
hungry) because the resort has a café & restaurant called Istorya. Aside
from coffee and pasta dishes, Istorya also offers rice meals and accommodates
small events.
It’s pet-friendly
If you have pets, you can bring them to Purico’s Cabin Resort. We saw several
guests who brought their dogs with them – now that’s the true definition of a
family weekend adventure.
How to go to Purico’s Cabin Resort
It’s easy to go to Purico’s Cabin Resort. If you are bringing your own car,
you can pin it in your favorite navigation app and follow the directions. Take
NLEX then make an exit to San Simon, Pampanga. Follow the directions going to
San Simon town proper then proceed to drive to Apalit town. Just follow the
directions until you reach Purico’s Cabin Resort.
How to book a cabin
To book a cabin, you may get in touch via Purico’s
Facebook page. There are currently seven cabins for rent, as such, booking can be a
challenge because they are almost always fully booked. With that, it’s
important to book ahead of your intended stay.
The rate is P6,999 per night. Each cabin is good for six (6) pax.
What to remember when spending the weekend at Purico’s
When staying at Purico’s, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- You would have to pay a corkage fee if you would like to bring outside food. Small drinks are allowed though. Anyway, you may order food at Istorya Café & Restaurant since the prices are reasonable. If you have a child like Miguel with specific food preferences, you may want to discuss it with the staff at Istorya so that they can cook it for you.
- While toiletries are provided in the bathroom, be sure to bring your kit especially if you are bringing your children with you.
- You may use the pool at night but keep in mind that they close it before midnight.
- Bring swimwear and flip-flops for you and your kids. You may also bring floaters but there are also items for rent.
- Parking inside the resort is available.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Purico’s. The staff are very friendly
and always eager to fulfill our requests. Evenings at Purico’s are serene so
you are assured of a good night’s sleep.
