Sharing our overnight staycation experience at Azure North in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Azure North is the perfect option if you are looking for a nice and modern
family-friendly resort-themed staycation idea in the bustling San Fernando
City in Pampanga. Azure North features comfortable rooms and exciting
amenities that the whole family, especially your children, will love.
Our Overnight Staycation at Azure North with Kids
Our experience at Azure North
Last October, We were looking for a relaxing and enjoyable accommodation where
we could spend my birthday weekend. We didn't want to stay in Metro Manila to
avoid the usual crowd; Pampanga was what we considered because of its
proximity to the capital region. It was an easy drive to NLEX.
Azure North is similar to other properties for rent around the country. The
unit owner rents out their room to individuals or groups, which will then give
the renters access to the amenities of Azure North. We got in touch with a
unit owner on Facebook and all bookings and transactions were done via
Facebook Messenger. We also sent our payment via GCash but bank transfer is
also available.
The unit owner was a breeze to talk to. All our questions were answered
promptly and they also obliged to our requests. By the way, if you require
parking space, the parking fee is separate from the room fee. However, there
is free parking at Home Depot, which is just walking distance from Azure
North.
Room amenities at Azure North
We booked a room for six people - three adults and two children. We were
expecting the room to be spacious based on the photos and it was confirmed by
the owner that it can comfortably fit us. However, it was a little too small
for us so I had to sleep on the floor.
Other than that, the room was clean and well-maintained and had all the
standard amenities like a bed, a television, air-conditioning, a refrigerator,
an electric stove, a kettle, kitchen utensils and plates, and WiFi. The
bathroom had a shower, toilet, towels, tissue paper rolls, and toiletries.
Nevertheless, the kids slept soundly on the bed, so it wasn't so bad even if I
had to sleep on the floor.
Enjoying the wave and beach swimming pools
Possibly the highlight of a staycation at Azure North is to enjoy the wave
pool and the beach pool. The beach pool had a man-made beach of fine white
sand. It looked fancy but swimmers are not allowed to play with the
sand.
The wave pool is what our two children enjoyed the most. They loved the
beach-like strong waves generated by the swimming pool. Just a word of caution
though that you have to pay an admission fee to use both swimming pools, so
this should be a consideration when booking a stay at Azure North. Take note
also that the pools close around lunchtime and open again at around 1:30 PM.
Where to buy food at Azure North
There are no restaurants within Azure North but you are free to bring fresh
ingredients that you can cook in your room. If you want to save yourself from
the hassle of cooking, you can order via GrabFood or visit SM City San
Fernando or Robinsons Starmills Pampanga. There are popular restaurants here
where you can dine with your family.
What to bring with you
Aside from food and snacks, don't forget to bring the following:
- Swimming attire
- Slippers
- Big overnight bag
- Toys for the kids
- Extra cash
All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Azure North. Our host was
pleasant to talk to and the room amenities were of excellent quality.
Meanwhile, Azure North has amazing swimming pools that people of all ages will
surely appreciate.
