Sharing our experience when our family recently visited Bag of Beans in Tagaytay for a light meal.
When one thinks of cozy restaurants in Tagaytay that serve delicious food,
Bag of Beans easily comes to mind. Mommy Khris and I would usually go to Bag
of Beans when we want to have coffee, pastries, and a light snack. That has
been a routine for us throughout the years and I think it's the same for
most travelers who frequently go to Tagaytay. In a way, Bag of Beans can
already be considered an institution when it comes to casual family dining
in Tagaytay.

Letting our kids experience Bag of Beans for the first time
After our trip to Batangas a few months ago, we decided to have snacks at Bag
of Beans on our way back to Quezon City. It was a Sunday so the restaurant was
expectedly busy because of the volume of diners. Anyway, while waiting for a
table for our group, we let Miguel and Rafa play in the open area near the
entrance of Bag of Beans.

We could see that Rafa was having a good time looking at the interesting items
hanging from the ceiling of the restaurant. Meanwhile, Miguel is his usual
jolly self while looking at the busy buzz of the people around him.
There was also a free jar of cookies and iced tea in a corner for customers
who are waiting for their turn to get a table. We took a few pieces of cookies
and they were delicious. They tasted like butter cookies and Rafa seemed to
have enjoyed the piece of cookie that we gave him.
We also took the opportunity to have our family photo near the fireplace.
Overall, we had a happy experience while waiting to be seated.
Ordering our favorite food at Bag of Beans
After settling down, we ordered our favorite Shepherd's Pie and Blueberry
Cheesecake. We also ordered Pancit Guisado for the kids, who both love the
savory flavors of this local noodle dish. We were also impressed by the
abundant toppings of the pancit guisado – the vegetables were fresh and crisp
and the pieces of meat and shrimp were succulent.

Meanwhile, the Bag of Beans’ Shepherd’s Pie is still as good as the last time
that we had it. It was outstanding; I think I can finish a whole serving on my
own.

Capping our delicious meal was a slice of our much-loved blueberry cheesecake.
You can’t go wrong with the tangy and fruity sweet flavors of Bag of Beans’
blueberry cheesecake. A cup of hot coffee with the blueberry cheesecake
would’ve been nice but we skipped it because we had coffee just before our
trip.

We were glad to have had the chance to eat at Bag of Beans again after so many
years. We’ll definitely bring the kids here more often.
