and Namibia.

Before visiting Africa or any other destination, you absolutely must make sure that you have travel insurance. Even if you’re generally in good health, you never know what could happen when you’re in a new place that is very far from
home.
Travel health insurance can cover the costs of any medical care you might need while on the road,
giving you peace of mind while on holiday. It’s especially important to have coverage if you’re planning activities outdoors, such as camping or climbing,
as these are higher-risk activities.
Make sure your plan includes extreme sports or mountain rescue services, as these are often extras you have to add on.
2. Update your vaccinations
Depending on where you’re traveling from and the vaccinations you’ve had recently, you may need boosters before your trip to Africa. This is because

To ensure that you have enough cash on hand for expenses like food and transportation, don’t forget to convert currency at home before your trip.
Moreover, never keep all your cash in one place and have an emergency fund tucked away somewhere very safe.
4. Invest in a portable charger
If you’re planning to be out and about in nature most of the time, it’s a good idea to invest in good quality and high-capacity power bank. With a power bank, you’ll be able to charge your phone on the go without having to wait to arrive in a place where there is electricity. In some areas, there will be few

Africa is hot, it’s true, but you’ll need to prepare for drops in temperature too. If you’re planning to spend days in the desert, it can get really
cold at night
so make sure you have light layers or a jacket for the evening.
It’s also important to note that some African countries may not appreciate
shorts
and vest tops due to religious reasons. Keeping your skin covered can be a good idea if you’re going out into nature anyway, as it will offer some protection against the sun as well as plants and thorns.
