At the onset of our children’s coughs, colds, and allergic rhinitis, we like to use these three natural and organic products to relieve the symptoms.
The occasional cough, colds, and even allergic rhinitis are common occurrences among small children. According to our pediatrician, babies and toddlers are still building up their immune systems. As such, expect them to
catch mild respiratory illnesses, especially when the weather is changing
because it’s all part of the process of strengthening their little
bodies.
3 Best Organic And Natural Cough And Cold Remedies For Kids
Helping kids recover from coughs and colds
While most cough and cold symptoms in kids are mild, it’s best to pay close attention to the infection to prevent it from progressing. Take good care of
them to help them recover fast.
Feed your children nutritious food like fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin
C to hasten recovery and don’t skip their
multivitamins
to give their immune system a boost. It’s also important to give your kids
enough rest at night or even an afternoon nap if they are used to it.
Moreover, while they are still recovering from cough and colds, you can limit
their playtime outside because dust particles and pollen can cause further
irritation and may even lengthen the recovery time.
Cough and cold remedies for faster healing
Aside from giving our children healthy food and enough rest, we also like to use natural and organic products to alleviate symptoms and hasten the healing process. We’ve been using these products for several years now and we trust
them in easing nasal congestion and coughing in our two children.
These products are the following:
1. NoCough Organic Herbal Cough Relief Patch
NoCough Organic Herbal Cough Relief Patch is a product that we’ve only
recently tried but Khris and I are very happy because it’s effective in
soothing mild and throat irritation cough in our kids.

We use NoCough as a first aid to prevent our children’s cough from getting worse. For more severe coughing, we use NoCough to complement the medication
that our pediatrician will prescribe.
This organic patch is made of natural and organic ingredients such as jujube fruit and cinnamon extracts. Since it’s a patch, just stick it on your little one’s shirt and they are good to go. One sticker lasts up to 12 hours.
Keep in mind though that NoCough should only be used for kids who are at least three months old. A box of NoCough contains eight (8) patches and costs around
P399 at Shopee and Lazada. By the way, NoCough is also recommended for adults.
2. Happy Noz Organic Onion Sticker
We’ve always loved Happy Noz Organic Onion Sticker because it eases the discomfort caused by allergic rhinitis in our kids. I also like to use Happy
Noz because it works like magic in relieving sinusitis attacks. I particularly like how wonderful its scent is.

This onion-based product is made of other natural ingredients like eucalyptus essential oil which has anti-microbial properties. Just like NoCough, Happy
Noz comes in a patch form so it’s easy and convenient to use.
You might be put off by the fact that Happy Noz is onion-based but trust me,
it really smells good. You’d be surprised that onion could smell so pleasant when used outside cooking.

3. Betadine Kids Cold Defense Nasal Spray
We honestly consider Betadine Kids Cold Defense Nasal Spray to be heaven-sent
because it’s really effective in halting the development of colds in our kids.
Or if their colds get worse, Betadine Kids Nasal Spray does a great job in shortening the symptoms.

I just wish that more drugstores will carry this product because it’s still so hard to find. That’s why when we saw a few boxes available on a pharmacy
shelf, we immediately bought a piece so that we can have it on hand in our
children’s medicine kit.
Betadine Kids Cold Defense Nasal Spray is made of natural ingredients that are proven to kill viruses and stop them from further spreading. It’s also easy to
spray so even if our kids would be wriggling or resisting, this product is
fairly simple to apply.

Epilogue
Aside from taking care of our kids and feeding them healthy food, we also use
these three products to help our kids recover from a cough, colds, and
allergic rhinitis.
We also like to use these items together with their medicine in cases when
their symptoms have worsened because these products can help make them feel more
comfortable.
Disclaimer: Always consult your pediatrician if your kids are unwell and
also when you plan to use products for them.
