Yakimix is one of the most loved buffet restaurants around because of its great selection of local and international cuisines as well as barbecues.
Yakimix has always been one of our favorite buffet restaurants so when they opened an outlet in Ayala Fairview Terraces Mall, we took the opportunity to try it out for my birthday dinner celebration. We love Yakimix because it gives diners a wide selection of international cuisines, including fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables that you can cook to your liking over a smokeless grill.

Our experience at Yakimix Ayala Fairview Terraces
It was a Wednesday evening and there were only a handful of diners so we were immediately able to book a table.

It was interesting to note that during the night when we were at Yakimix in Ayala Fairview Terraces, the place was not too crowded so it did not feel like we were battling it out with fellow diners.

At some point though, I hope that this Yakimix outlet would be able to build its customer base because, well, they are running a business and they need patrons to sustain their earnings. It’s always good to have a reliable buffet restaurant within the area where we can celebrate special occasions.
Post-pandemic update
Yakimix Ayala Fairview Terraces temporarily closed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it's good to know that one of our favorite buffet restaurants has reopened once again. With that, we celebrated Miguel's 6th birthday at Yakimix. Honestly, the food and drink choices this time around are more limited as compared before.
Nonetheless, we completely understand their situation since they are most likely still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, like any other business. We still enjoyed the food though and had our fill of our favorite food items. The kids, on the other hand, took advantage of the unlimited candies and ice cream. All in all, we had a wonderful dinner buffet at Yakimix Ayala Fairview Terraces.
The Food
As with other buffet restaurants, I would usually scan the food on display and make a mental note of the ones I liked most.
I used to binge eat in buffet restaurants but, as I got older, I learned to focus only on those that catch my fancy. Nowadays, I just get a slice or two of meat from the carving station, a lot of seafood, cheeses, some interesting international cuisines, and dim sum.

Anyway, when we were at Yakimix, I got lechon kawali, mushrooms, a few pieces of streamed dim sum, and meatballs. I was also delighted to find out that chawanmushi, savory steamed egg custard, was on offer so I helped myself to two servings.

The fresh seafood and meat section was surprisingly wide-ranging although, if I remember it correctly, it was not as extensive as those in Yakimix’s BGC and Glorietta outlets. No matter, the assortments were still enough to satisfy your taste buds for barbecue.

The pork and beef strips, the shrimp and squid, and the mushrooms are our perennial favorites. After filling our plates, there was nothing left to do but to grill away and enjoy the rest of our feast while we wait for the food to cook.

There were a variety of sauces that guests may choose from in order to enhance the flavor of the meats. I personally helped myself to servings of kimchi which I find goes really well with grilled dishes.

We capped our meal with pastries, ice cream, and fruits from their dessert section. The brownies, in particular, were moist and chewy. We also helped ourselves to cups of coffee courtesy of the Nespresso machine.
Price and Verdict
The price is around P600++ per head; not bad considering the number of selections at Yakimix. The service was also fast; the staff were very attentive.

2019 Update
After a year, we came back to Yakimix Ayala Fairview Terraces to celebrate my birthday again. We availed of the dinner buffet, which was from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
It was a bit crowded this time; as you would have guessed it, most tables (if not all) had a person celebrating a birthday. It seemed like the service personnel were visiting each table to sing a birthday song and perform a dance.
Anyway, just a tip -- not all premium food items were on display. Specifically, the shrimps and bacon-wrapped enoki and asparagus were only available upon request. Just ask any of the waiters for shrimp and they will bring it to you in no time.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing what yakimix is dadi iv. Agree po worth it naman yung 600php sa dami choices ng food nila and mukhang masasarap naman po lahat. Nakakatuwa pa pag mabilis ang serving and attentive ang staff. Good to know na madami din sila branches para in case na mag crave sa food nila no need na mag travel ng malayo.
ReplyDeleteGrabe tlaga mga Resto na napupuntahan Mo Daddy Ivan sobrang recommended po talaga, dahil di ka matatalo sa ibabayad Mo, dahi for sure yung Sarap at dami ng serving Nila at gaganda ng Presentation.. Super Worth it at sulit na sulit po talaga to visit here❤❤❤😋🤤🤤

Pwedeng pwede rin talagang icelebrate ang Birthday natin dito.. Very recommended po talaga ito. 😍🥰
