In fact, I consider Bag of Beans to be one of those establishments that have become a landmark in the areas where it operates. You cannot truly say that you have been to Tagaytay if you have not yet visited Bag of Beans.

Our Bag of Beans Experience
I have been to Bag of Beans on many occasions, mostly when my family and I are vacationing for the weekend in this holiday town. What I like about this restaurant is the consistency of its service as well as the quality of the food.
Bag of Beans is usually bursting full with diners on weekends but still they are able to provide their guests with good experience. Thus, it's easy to recommend Bag of Brans especially to those who are going to Tagaytay for the first time.

Ambiance
Probably it's the ambiance that makes one's Bag of Beans experience memorable. Overall, the place is really attractive -- there are comfortable tables and seats outside if guests prefer to savor the chilly air, there are lush greeneries all over the property, as well as native decors that dominate the embellishments on its walls and ceilings. Come nighttime, soft lights illuminate the property giving it that impeccable holiday vibe.

I think these are enough reasons to include Bag of Beans in your Tagaytay itinerary.
Food
Food is also another area where Bag of Beans excels, and the reason why we keep coming back to it. We would order coffee and pasta or sandwiches on most instances when we visit. However, some of the most unforgettable dishes that I had in Bag of Beans are carbonara, baked lasagna, and shepherd's pie.

I tasted Bag of Beans' carbonara during my second visit to Bag of Beans and I must say that it was indeed flavorful but without the overly rich and creamy taste. It had balanced seasonings with some hints of herbs and served with two fillets of grilled chicken.

Meanwhile, the lasagna is served steaming hot with generous amounts of beef and topped with melted cheese. It's good and filling with all the savory goodness of the meat and cheese and balanced with the slight acidity of the tomato sauce.

However, among Bag of Beans' offerings in its menu, I consider the shepherd's pie to be the most noteworthy. The pie was generously filled with meat and a tangy sauce that made this dish really flavorful. This, on its own, is already a complete meal.

For dessert, we would always get the blueberry cheesecake. It was how we wanted cheesecake to be - not too sweet and slightly tangy. This is perfect with coffee.

Aside from coffee though, you can also pair your dessert with hot chocolate or tea. A word of caution though because hot drinks easily become cold because of the nippy air. Nonetheless, you can always have your drink reheated.
Our verdict
Bag of Beans will always be one of our favorite restaurants in Tagaytay. The food is delicious, the service is fast and efficient, and the ambiance is always inviting.

In terms of cost, it is safe to allot around Php1,750 for three people, payable either in cash or via credit card. That's not bad at all for such a lovely experience.

Bag of beans is a must try restaurant when you visit tagaytay. good food plus a good ambiance will make your eating experience enjoyable. also the cold environment adds up to the refreshing stay at Bag of beans

ReplyDeleteSurely na Hindi Mo po talaga makakalimutang ang ganitong Coffee Shop, Yung Shop na Hindi ka lang bsta magEenjoy to taking a coffee kundi pati narin sa mga Masasarap na food and Dessert at magagandang mga Disenyo at tanawin sa labas, truly worth to Visiy there again ... Very Accomodating, and perfect for Couple or pang Buong Pamilya ..

ReplyDeleteBefore pandemic we are planning to go in Tagaytay but sadly hindi natuloy. Maybe next time at sana mapuntahan namin to. Mukhang maganda especially yung mga artworks saka yung foods, ang sarap!
