The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel: a breathtaking escapade
When we were in Macau, Khris and I stayed at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel for three days and two nights for our honeymoon. Indeed, the days that we spent at The Venetian are some of the most unforgettable from our Macau adventure.
How to book a room at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel
Booking a room at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel is easy. We booked direct via their website and it was pretty straightforward from then on — choose the dates of your stay, check out, and pay via credit card. After booking, all of our questions and confirmations were through email. We were glad that they were very quick to respond to our inquiries and concerns.

Checking in at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel
Honestly, if there is one aspect of our stay at The Venetian that we did not like, it was our experience during check in. It was not so bad but the lines were really long because of the many groups of tourists that were lining up. It was also not the check-in personnel’s fault, the counters were really just overcrowded. It took us around an hour but after that, everything was a breeze.
Our room at The Venetian
As soon as we entered our room, we were greeted by the queen-size bed that looked as if it were fit for royalty. Past the bed is the reception area aka living room — complete with sofas, coffee table, a study, and a round dining table.
Our splendid bed |
Our room is immensely spacious and beautifully-designed like an Italian villa. The furnishings are exquisite and of the best class. As for the bathroom, well, it was also big and fitted with the amenities you will need for a relaxing bath. It also goes without saying that the bathroom was sparkling-clean.

With how beautiful the room is, it was tempting to spend all our days there and look out through the big window and just marvel at the busy streets outside. Even so, I urge you to go out of your room and explore The Venetian because you will not be disappointed with what you will see.

Touring The Venetian
Even with the initial lure of cozying up in our room, we deemed it a good idea to go outside and explore The Venetian. The hotel is gigantic, it was like a city on its own.

We took a walk inside the hotel and we were awestruck by how cleverly the designers made the interiors to look like, well, you guessed it, Venice.

There are endless rows of shops and restaurants inside the hotel; you actually need a whole day to tour it. It's that big. The hotel is more like a plush integrated residential-commercial-recreational complex. We wouldn’t be surprised if there are people here who are renting rooms on a long-term basis.

If you love swimming, then head over to the pool area. It was just a pity that the pools were closed for maintenance when we visited.

Checking the pool area |
Our accommodation booking came with a complimentary gondola ride. We availed of it during our last day. We almost did not take advantage of it because of the long line of guests. We decided to do it nonetheless because it looked fun and a new experience. What’s the point of going to Venice if you will not ride a gondola, anyway?
What we also liked about The Venetian was the nightly free mini shows held outside. There are performers like bands, acrobats, and people in various colorful costumes dancing and singing. These shows last for a few minutes. The crowds can get big so it’s good if you can secure a spot early on.

For risk-taking gamblers who have money to burn, the ground floor of The Venetian is home to the biggest casino in the world. Khris and I are not really into casinos but we checked it out anyway. The sheer volume of people inside, however, is certainly overwhelming.

All in all, The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel is definitely worth adding to one's bucket list of hotels to stay at when you are in Macau.

DeleteWe loved Macau and much preferred it to Hong Kong. We didn't like the hustle bustle of Hong Kong.
ReplyDeleteLikewise. Macau is much relaxed considering that it's also cosmopolitan.
