Meanwhile, the Tuna Misono at Tokyo Tokyo is what I consider a winner. It has hearty chunks of tuna cooked lightly in olive oil and seasonings. I find this dish really savory and lip-smacking; I find it delightful to eat it with rice. I like putting the oil and drippings on the rice for maximum flavor.

My experience at Tokyo Tokyo
My love for Japanese cuisine did not really come instantaneously like what some other people personally claim. In fact, I was hesitant to try raw fish at first because I was afraid that it would taste or smell fishy.
However, my friends swear that sushi and sashimi are actually good. They are not fishy at all; in fact, they taste fresh and have that melt-in-your-mouth quality if prepared using top-notch fish meat. So I became interested and it became a personal goal to be able to eventually have the courage to try sushi and sashimi.
Tokyo Tokyo gave me my first taste of sushi and maki. It was not really loved at first bite but the experience was quite enjoyable and enough to entice me to come back for more. So that is what happened, I came back to Tokyo Tokyo whenever I could with my friends. The taste of Japanese Cuisine eventually grew on me over the years.
Most recently, I tried Tokyo Tokyo along Rufino St. in Makati. There were only a few diners that night so the restaurant was quite comfortable and was also very quiet. I had gyoza and ramen and I would say that it was a nice light dinner. The bowl of ramen was warming to my stomach and the gyoza was flavorful.

Tokyo Tokyo offers classic favorites like Tonkatsu, Beef Misono, California Maki, Chicken Teriyaki, and Tempura. All meals come with vegetable sidings.
Some of my favorites in Tokyo Tokyo are the California Maki, Tuna Misono, and the affordable Tuna Rice Bowl. For drinks, I always go for the Red Iced Tea.
Tokyo Tokyo’s California Maki is not necessarily one of the best there is in the market. However, it does a fine job is satisfying my taste buds whenever I crave California Maki.

I usually cap off my meal at Tokyo Tokyo with a tall glass of Red Iced Tea. This drink is mildly sweet, a bit fruity, and really thirst-quenching.

Price and verdict
The price is also a big factor that makes Tokyo Tokyo a hit in the market. Rice is unlimited so diners are sure to leave the restaurant with a full belly. Overall, I would always recommend Tokyo Tokyo for those who are looking for affordable and delicious Japanese meals.
